FK Borac Announces Organizational Committee for Club’s 100th Anniversary
FK Borac Banja Luka informs the public that the constitutive session of the Organizational Committee for marking the club’s 100th anniversary was held at the City Stadium in Banja Luka. At this session, Milorad Dodik was appointed President of the Organizational Committee.
In addition to President Dodik, the following members of the Organizational Committee were appointed: Zvjezdan Misimović, President of FK Borac; Savo Minić, Prime Minister of Republika Srpska; Bogoljub Zeljković, Vice President of FK Borac; Dejan Ćato, Director of FK Borac; Stojan Malbašić, President of the FK Borac Assembly; Zora Vidović, Minister of Finance of Republika Srpska; Željko Budimir, Minister of the Interior of Republika Srpska; Siniša Kostrešević, Director of Police of Republika Srpska; Miroslav Janković, Director of “Roads of Republika Srpska”; Nikola Šobot, Director of the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska; Goran Maričić, Director of the Tax Administration of Republika Srpska; Nenad Talić, Director of SC “Borik”; Dejan Kusturić, Director of the Health Insurance Fund of Republika Srpska; Mladen Milanović, owner of the company “MG Mind”; Perica Repajić, owner of the company “Dukat”, Deacon of the Serbian Orthodox Church Žagran Radojica and Mayor of Banja Luka Draško Stanivuković.
Following the constitutive session, the first meeting of the Organizational Committee was held, at which the Program for marking the 100th anniversary of FK Borac was unanimously adopted.
The Organizational Committee decided that the ceremonial academy marking the 100th anniversary of FK Borac will be held at Banski Dvor Cultural Centre on May 18, 2026, starting at 20:15.
In addition to the ceremonial academy, a series of activities is planned throughout the year to properly celebrate the club’s golden jubilee. On July 4, the official founding date of FK Borac, a birthday celebration will be held at Trg Krajine, featuring a concert and the presentation of the team for the 2026/27 season.
The Organizational Committee also adopted a campaign plan titled “Red-Blue City,” aimed at involving the City of Banja Luka and the wider public in celebrating the club’s centenary, showcasing that Banja Luka is truly Borac’s city.
During the year, the premiere of a documentary film produced by Radio Television of Republika Srpska is planned, along with the promotion of a monograph being finalized by the Archives of Republika Srpska in cooperation with FK Borac.
As part of the centenary celebrations, a commemorative postage stamp will also be issued by Pošte Srpske.
At the meeting, full support was expressed for the club’s efforts to complete the installation of the roof structure on the eastern stand of the City Stadium as soon as possible. Support was also given to future infrastructure projects aimed at further development of FK Borac, including the phased reconstruction of the City Stadium—covering the construction of the southern stand and modernization of existing infrastructure—as well as the construction of a new training center, which from today becomes a strategic development project of the club.
It was concluded that future infrastructure projects of FK Borac should receive support from the Government of Republika Srpska and the City of Banja Luka in order to be successfully realized.
The Organizational Committee also decided that the championship title celebration will be held during the Round 34 match of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Premier League, on May 16, when FK Borac hosts FK Željezničar Sarajevo, with free entry to the City Stadium as a gesture of gratitude to fans for their unwavering support.
Free entry will also be available for the final match of the Premier League season on May 26, when Borac hosts HŠK Posušje.
