Pascual: Football Is a Way to Show the Best of Ourselves
The action on the pitch at Bilino Polje Stadium came to a halt in the 56th minute when an elderly home supporter in the stands required medical assistance.
It was then that our Abel Pascual stepped in, immediately grabbing a medical bag from one of the medical staff members and sprinting towards the stands to ensure that help reached the supporter as quickly as possible.
Fortunately, the incident ended without serious consequences, and Abel says everything happened in a split second.
“Honestly, everything happened in an instant. I didn't think twice. I just wanted to help the medical staff reach the supporter in the stands as quickly as possible. I heard that the gentleman who received medical assistance is doing well, and I am incredibly happy about that. At the end of the day, that is truly the most important thing of all. Football should be a way for us to show the best of ourselves and teach us how to become even better people,” said Pascual, who also made a significant contribution to our victory on the pitch at Bilino Polje.
“I am very pleased with our victory. Once again, we showed our fighting spirit, and I am convinced that the character we possess will help us achieve all the goals we have set ourselves. Of course, I am also delighted to have scored my second goal and to have helped the team on the pitch,” said Pascual.
