Premier League Race: Borac Are the New Champions!

04 May 2026

FK Borac Banja Luka have won the Bosnia and Herzegovina Premier League title for the fourth time in the club’s history.

The “red and blues” secured the new trophy in their cabinet four rounds before the end of the season, defeating FK Sarajevo 1–0 at the Koševo Stadium.

The goal worth three points was scored by Luka Juričić, who confidently converted a penalty in the 35th minute.

After the final whistle, a big celebration followed among the “red and blues”, and captain Srđan Grahovac was full of praise for everything achieved during this championship season:

“We are all overjoyed. Honestly, I don’t think anyone expected at the beginning of the season that we would wrap it up this early. Congratulations to the guys once again—hats off. We’ve talked countless times about the quality of this team and the work ethic of every player. Thanks as well to our fans, who are always with us and give us incredible support wherever we play.”

Satisfaction was also evident from head coach Vinko Marinović, who led the team to the new title:

“This title is the result of hard work throughout the entire season, during which we showed that we are the best team. I am happy and proud of the players who did a tremendous job. In the year we celebrate the club’s centenary, we have reached the championship title, which was the goal we set before the season began.”

With this achievement, Marinović has become the first Premier League coach to win four league titles.
