A year has flown by, yet we still refuse to accept that you are no longer with us.

We will never come to terms with the fact that we will never hear your voice again, that you will no longer welcome us into your office with a smile on your face, or come out with one of your jokes, made up on the spot.

Not a day goes by without someone mentioning your name, and as the days pass, we miss you more and more.

Forgive us.

We know you were never one for sentimentality, but that is not the spirit in which we are writing this. We are writing to remind you, once again, just how dearly we hold you in our hearts.

This 3 November is a sad day for all of us. And every 3 November to come will be just as sad.

Today, you would probably have called one of us to ask how we were looking ahead of the match against Mjällby.

“We'll win that one,” you would have said, with that unmistakable confidence you always had.

We miss you.

Every single one of us who knew you, and everyone who had the chance to meet you, even if only for a moment.
