Damjan Siskovski Stays Loyal to Borac: Banja Luka Feels Like Home
He says Banja Luka feels as dear to him as his hometown of Skopje, and he will continue to wear the Borac jersey in the seasons ahead. To the satisfaction of everyone at Platonova 6, Damjan Siskovski has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2027.
“I’ve extended my contract with Borac and I’m very happy about it. This is my third extension, which clearly shows that the club and management trust me. I will continue to work hard, give my maximum, and I hope we will achieve all our goals this year and carry that momentum into the next ones,” said Siskovski.
He doesn’t hide the fact that he has felt at home in Banja Luka since day one.
“Everything reminds me of Skopje — I’ve felt great since the first day. The language is the same, the food is similar, and I have many friends here I’ve played with before. I feel really comfortable. The fans appreciate me, and I truly value that. Even when I’m not playing, people stop me on the street and show support, which motivates me even more. I honestly enjoy playing in Banja Luka — sometimes the crowd chants my name, and that pushes me to keep working and always give my best,” he added.
Our team is pushing strongly toward another championship title, and Shishkovski praised his teammates for everything they’ve achieved so far.
“We have a solid advantage thanks to our performances, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise. Last year we achieved the greatest European success in the club’s history, and in every match we showed that we are better than our competitors. We’re on the right path to winning the title, and we know what awaits us next and how we can reach the group stage,” said Siskovski.
