PREMIER LEAGUE RACE: Victory at Grbavica
In football, there is no sweeter victory than the one that comes in the 90th minute — and when you defeat your rival in a derby away from home in that manner, the emotions are three times stronger.
Sebastián Herrera, with a piece of brilliance worthy of television highlights, secured a huge triumph for our “Red and Blues”, who defeated FK Željezničar 1–0 at the Grbavica Stadium.
“We knew it would be a difficult match. We attacked for the full ninety minutes and kept searching for the goal. In the end, we managed to score it. I want to thank our fans for their support. We move forward!” Herrera said after the big win.
At Grbavica Stadium we delivered another excellent performance and, in the end, deservedly secured the victory.
At the beginning of the match we lost our captain Srđan Grahovac, who had to leave the pitch due to injury. Our team was also not shaken by the sending-off of Omar Sijarić, who had to leave the field after receiving two yellow cards.
The reward for a strong performance arrived in the closing stages of the match.
“I must praise the players and congratulate them on another victory because today we had forced substitutions and still managed to win, so we have to be satisfied. A very important victory for us. We knew the match would be very difficult, but the team showed character and quality,” said Vinko Marinović, the head of our coaching staff, after the match.
