European Journey: Ready for the Return Leg in Sofia
Our Red and Blues are ready to travel to Sofia, where they will face Levski in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round.
Following the “first half in Banja Luka”, the situation is clear — a victory would take us through to the next round of Champions League qualifying, while any other outcome would see us continue our European journey in the race for a place in the league phase of the UEFA Conference League.
The team has worked hard in training over the past few days, determined to produce its best performance in Sofia.
“We are highly motivated to show our full quality. Last season, we proved that we know how to deal with every challenge, and I expect us to perform at the required level in Sofia. The first match showed that we can compete with Levski. We are an experienced team, and we know how to control our emotions and deal with every situation on the pitch,” said Abel Pascual, a first-team player of our club.
The team will depart for Sofia early on Monday morning and will hold its final training session at the Georgi Asparuhov Stadium later that evening.
“We have to remain fully focused from the first minute until the last, play with confidence and take every opportunity that comes our way. Small details make the difference in matches like this, which is why it is important to stay focused on every aspect of our performance. I am looking forward to another challenge, and I want to give everything for the badge on my shirt and for our supporters,” Pascual added.
The match at the Georgi Asparuhov Stadium will be played on Tuesday, with kick-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m. local time in Banja Luka.
