Misimović: Numerous Plans to Celebrate the Great Jubilee

Zvjezdan Misimović, president of our club, spoke in a detailed interview with Glas Srpske about many topics, most importantly the plans for celebrating FK Borac’s big jubilee - the club’s 100th birthday.

“We’ve entered the year of the big, golden jubilee for our club. Numerous activities are planned to mark and celebrate a century of FK Borac’s existence in a worthy way. As soon as the team returns from preparations in Antalya we will present the new jersey we will play in during the rest of the season. It is specially designed for Borac’s centenary and will make everyone proud who wears it. Alongside the match jersey, several retro editions are being prepared that will pay homage to the generations who achieved some of the greatest results in our club’s history,” Misimović said.

A club monograph marking the 100th anniversary is also being prepared. “In cooperation with the Archives of Republika Srpska, we are preparing a monograph for the club’s centenary, which will bring practically all details of our past together in one place. Everyone involved in making the monograph deserves great praise for their work. A documentary film is also in the works with Radio-Television of Republika Srpska. It will include numerous club legends and archival material and stories not widely known, showing the club’s brilliant history,” Misimović continued.

The central celebration will take place mid-year. “With a ceremonial academy at the Banski Dvor we will celebrate Borac’s 100th birthday. I won’t reveal the date yet so it’s a surprise for our supporters, but I can say we expect many guests from the world of football. Along with the academy there will be a testimonial match at the City Stadium. More details will be shared with the public in due time. For now, let the imagination of all Borac fans be tickled,” said Misimović.

There will be many other activities throughout the jubilee year for our great club.
