Premier League Campaign: A New Test Against Čelik
Our Red and Blues continue their Premier League campaign with a home match against Čelik, which will be played behind closed doors at Banja Luka City Stadium on Sunday at 18:30.
According to our coaching staff, the goal is clear — to secure another league victory and build momentum ahead of the European second leg against Víkingur.
“Following our return from Iceland, there was not much time to prepare for this match, so the main priority was to ensure the players recovered properly. Nevertheless, we are fully aware that another demanding game awaits us, just like every match in our domestic league.
Čelik are back in the top flight and are a club with a great tradition in domestic football. They will certainly be highly motivated to show their quality in their first season back, but our objectives are clear. We approach every match with the intention of winning, especially when we play at Banja Luka City Stadium.
We have to remain fully focused and go for the victory from the very first minute,” said Vinko Marinović, head coach of our team.
The gates of Banja Luka City Stadium will remain closed for this match, but Marinović says the team will give everything to reward our supporters with another victory.
“I am sorry that we will not have the support of our fans, and I hope this will be the only match in which we will not feel the roar from the stands.
Tomorrow, we are playing for them as well. We want to give them another victory and build the perfect momentum ahead of the second leg against Víkingur,” Marinović said.
