PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE RACE: DERBY TRIUMPH

Borac’s machine continues its march toward the championship title, celebrating another derby victory at the City Stadium in Banja Luka.

In front of packed stands, our “Red and Blues” defeated Sarajevo 2–0.

Both goals came in the second half.

Damir Hrelja opened the scoring in the 47th minute after an assist from Karlo Perić, while Perić himself sealed the victory in the 88th minute, delivering his best performance yet in a Borac shirt.

“Another reward has arrived for our hard and dedicated work. Ultimately, I believe we are the highest-quality team in the league, and we showed that once again. I’m happy I played well, but the most important thing is that the team keeps winning. Our goal is the title, and we will give everything we have to win it,” said Perić.

Vinko Marinović, our head coach, was also pleased with the new victory and praised the players for another strong performance.

“We knew we were facing a very tough match. Sarajevo have quality, experience, and a deep squad, and that was evident. It was a tight game, and in the first half neither we nor Sarajevo created much in attack. Most of the play was in midfield. However, we started the second half very well. We scored a goal that gave us additional confidence. In the end, we added a second goal and secured a victory that is of great importance in the title race,” said Marinović.
