Press Release: FK Borac Operates Transparently, Full Support for Zvjezdan Misimović
FK Borac wishes to inform the public that, acting on an order issued by the Basic Court in Banja Luka, officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SIPA) conducted searches today at the club’s premises, as well as at properties used by Zvjezdan Misimović, President of FK Borac.
As part of the searches, business documentation and other items were temporarily seized. Due to the ongoing investigation, we are unable to provide any further details and do not wish to comment on the speculation that has appeared in the media.
We would like to remind the public that, on several occasions over the past few years, the club’s financial operations have been inspected by the relevant authorities. No irregularities, indications of criminal activity or violations of applicable laws and regulations were identified during these inspections.
FK Borac respects the work of all relevant institutions and calls upon them to continue performing their duties responsibly and professionally. Our club will always remain open and fully available for cooperation.
Through its progress in all areas over the past several years, FK Borac has become a thorn in the side of many. Nevertheless, we will not abandon our goals and our determination to ensure that Borac continues to grow and progress with each passing day.
We would also like to express our full support for our President, Zvjezdan Misimović, who left a significant mark on European football and who, from the first day of his tenure as the club’s General Director and subsequently as President, has performed his duties responsibly, diligently and professionally.
